• First team ever: Mick and Jim Basic
• First small dog of any breed: Meiske and Kathryn Horn (All American)(6/96, 9/96)
• First flat-coated retriever: Tyler and Anne Etherton (4/98, 1/98; also first flat-coated for each championship)

Miscellaneous

• 1st handler to have 2 dogs in all 4 USDAA Top Ten categories in the same year: Jim Basic, Swift, and Mick: 1999
• 1st handler to have 2 dogs in all 4 categories in 2 consecutive years: Jim Basic, Swift, and Mick: 2000
• 1st Bearded Collie to achieve NADAC Open, Elite, and Outstanding Elite Jumpers titles; 1st Beardie for any Elite title: Skyedance and Jack Buhite, 1/26/97, 5/31/97, ??/??/98
