Grand Prix Regional Qualifier
This year, a dog must earn TWO qualifying scores in Grand Prix regional events to qualify for the nationals. A qualifying score this year is 7 or fewer total faults. If you earn at least one at a regional qualifier, you are then eligible to enter a regional championship. Earning a Q at the regional championship counts as one of your 2 Qs. Bay Team will be holding a regional championship in September.
All qualifiers and placement ribbons are listed. NOTE: These are not guaranteed to be your official times, as I was copying from a fax that was only partially legible.

May 2000 Steeplechase
The Bay Team held a Steeplechase regional qualifier on May 6-7 in Hayward, CA. The first round on Saturday was held under cloudy and slightly drizzly skies. Up to 13 dogs in each jump height (roughly 30%? at each height) qualified for the second round on Sunday, which also qualified them for the Steeplechase national finals (I need to double-check this).
At the end of the first round, we awarded high-scoring nonmasters trophies to the highest-scoring dog in each jump height among all starter, novice, or advanced dogs. This year, 3 of the 4 were won by Starters dogs(!), and the other by a Novice.
The second round took place in a steady drizzle that hadn't let up all day. Still,
people managed to be of good cheer. Steeplechase winners were Masters dogs except as noted.
