Getting There

Address: 220 Southgate Drive, Sonora, CA 95370

(View interactive map)
Directions
From 99: Turn east at Manteca on 120 towards Sonora and follow the signs to Oakdale, 19.9 miles. From Oakdale, take Hwy 120/108 east towards Sonora (37 miles). Take the Downtown Sonora exit. The fairgrounds are about 1 mile up, on the right, and down below the road. They are hard to see and badly marked. Look for an old train next to the main entrance.
From Angels Camp, Highways 4 and 49: Turn south on 49 towards Sonora. Go through downtown Sonora and turn right on Stockton Street. The fairgrounds are about 1/2 mile down on the left; look for an old train and turn into the main entrance (poorly marked) just beyond it.

Distance
140 miles
Driving time to, noon Friday
2 hrs and 30 minutes.
Driving time from, 3 PM Sun
2 hrs and 45 minutes, but actual speed depends on traffic
Slow bits
Good portions of the highways for many miles around Sonora are one lane in each direction, winding roads without many opportunities to pass slow traffic. Although the speed limit is 55, there seem to be many sightseers going much slower. You also go through small towns at reduced speeds. Have patience, drive carefully, don't get stressed--it's a beautiful drive.
Notes

Site Description
Overview
A small, quiet, pleasant grassy field. It has barely room for 2 rings, and just enough set-up around the ends of the rings.
Parking
Parking along the driveway that runs along one side of the ring; you probably can't park next to your set-up, but you can probably get within 100-200 feet. There's also ample camping/RV space for parking overnight not far from the ring.
Restrooms
Permanent restrooms not far from both ends of the rings.
Dog romping
There are a couple of small lawns for running your dogs; small area in front of the bleachers next to the ring, and a medium-sized area a little walk back towards the 108 highway.
Shade/Shelter
No shade or shelter.
Camping
You can set up a tent onsite for probably no cost. Showers. Hookups for RVs, $15/night.
Food
Nothing onsite. Many nifty restaurants in the touristy area of downtown for dinner, a long walk or short drive away. Not sure about fast food anywhere in the vicinity...
There is a small shopping center within a short walk, which has a grocery storE, Round Table pizza, laundromat, etc. There is also a small gas station/mini-mart before the shopping center.
