Directions
From Hwy 101 going north:
Take Hwy 156 (San Juan Bautista) exit and bear right. Stay on this road past San Juan Bautista (SJB/Hollister Rd.). Turn right at the signal onto Union. Continue on Union, winding around the outskirts of Hollister, to the 4-way stop at Hwy 25/Airline Hwy. Turn right and continue past Tres Pinos to Bolado Park (San Benito Cty Fairgrounds).
From Hwy 101 going south:
Take Hwy 25 (Hollister/Pinnacles) exit and go back over the freeway. Approaching Hollister, turn left on Wright Rd. (shortly before 156/25 intersection), which turns into McCloskey. At the end of McCloskey, turn Right onto Fairview. Continue to 4-way stop and turn left on Hwy 25/Airline Highway. Continue past Tres Pinos to Bolado Park (San Benito Cty Fairgrounds).
From Hwy 5:
Take Hwy 152 West (Pacheco Pass) to Hwy 156 (after Casa de Fruta). Follow Hwy 156 to Fairview (blinking light). Turn left and continue to 4-way signal; turn left on Hwy 25/Airline Hwy and continue past Tres Pinos to Bolado Park (San Benito Cty Fairgrounds).
Distance
60 miles
Driving time to, 5 AM
1 hr 5 mins.
Driving time from, 5 PM
1 hr 10 mins.
Slow bits
None, really. However, if you miss turns taking you around Hollister, you *can* follow Hwy 25 and signs to Bolado park through stoplights and surface streets of downtown Hollister.
Notes
If you end up going through downtown Hollister on Hwy 25, the route makes lots of left and right turns; watch carefully for those signs to Bolado Park.
Look for San Benito County Fairgrounds entrance(s)--that's Bolado Park! Entrances are not lit, so those signs are hard to see & read if you arrive at night.

Site Description
Overview
Fairgrounds, with lawns, arenas, and all the usual Fairgrounds stuff. Very attractive, quiet setting nestled among the hills, away from civilization. Easily room for 2 rings but the lawn is somewhat sloped in some placed so might not make 3?
Parking
Park right next to the ring on the lawn.
Restrooms
Under the arena cover; from the level lawn areas, plan on a five-minute round-trip walk if the club doesn't rent port-o-potties (which they did in '99; yay!)
Dog romping
Lots of room, although it's all together so probably not off-leash. Watch out for poison oak in the ditches.
Shade/Shelter
Very little.
Camping
RV (water & power) $15/night.
Tent (showers avail.) $5/night
Food
Nothing anywhere nearby or onsite except what's provided by the club.
