State of the club
As I look back over the year, I can’t believe how much we have accomplished, on and off the agility field.
We have come a long way this year in administrative things. These include the boring, mundane background processes that make running a club like ours easier.
First, we have historical data of the last three years of accounting, documented in a formal software system with a clear general ledger, balance sheet and p & L. In 2007 we were able to populate our online accounting system and can produce reports with relevant and current information about the financial health of the Club.
Second, we implemented a trial expense sheet that the trial chairs use to track trial expenses and provide a report to the Treasurer within a week of the trial. This will be valuable for the upcoming year as we can draw easy comparisons of costs for 2008.
Third, we have conquered Pay Pal! We now offer full Pay Pal support for Club renewals, CPE, and USDAA trial entries.
I am proud of these milestones.
On the agility field, we hosted 6 trials in 2007 and celebrated 4 USDAA National Champions and 1 NADAC Champion and numerous championship titles.
In 2008, the Bay Team will host 7 trials!
Many thanks to everyone for their support, their willingness to step in when needed and their enthusiasm for the Club’s endeavors.
Special thanks
I would like to thank Lorrayne Bailey for her service as Club Secretary.
I would like to thank my fellow Board members for their hard work and dedication to the Club.

The Bay Team Caninetarian Award
The Caninetarian is someone who puts themselves out there and does good for the canine community in general and as a whole.
The recipient for this year certainly embodies this award. They have embraced the agility community with both arms and more!
I would like to recognize John Nunes for his lasting contribution to the dog agility community by so generously and tirelessly supporting its participants with facilities, encouragement, innovation, and friendship.
Thank you, John!
The Bay Teamer of the Year
When I started thinking about this in the summertime, I started a list of things this person does. When my list got past 30 or so items, I stopped counting.
When a name appears almost every year in the “extra work”, “special thanks”, or “team player” category of awards, then there is no doubt in the size of contribution this individual makes. You won’t believe that this person has never won this award… so now, I would like to recognize Karey Krauter as the Bay Teamer of the Year!
