[edit] From Nancy G
Houston, April 4,2008
Bill Gignac died this morning in Houston with Nan at his side. I will pass on any word about remembrances or services if any are held, as we find out about Nan's plans.
Bill was a great, funny, friendly, generous, athletic, successful, ambitious, adventurous and energetic guy. We will miss him.

I'm stunned. He was such a healthy, upbeat guy; it just seemed that surely he'd beat the cancer.
Bill and Nancy have been Bay Teamers since 1998, and were active in our agility community before then. Bill was an excellent amateur photographer on the side at agility trials, and handed out the photos he took with no request for compensation. (Not to be confused with Bill Newcomb (with whom Bill G remained good friends), the other tall, thin Bill, who also took a lot of agility photos but as a professional.)
Bill always had a cheerful, upbeat word for people. He seemed low-key and calm, but that hid a talented and energetic athlete and competitor. He and Nan have always been generous with their friends, including making sure that this newly divorced Bay Teamer had a friendly place to go for Thanksgiving that year.
And Bill enjoyed challenges, I believe. Because I was Bay Team's webmeister, he plied me with questions when he decided that he wanted to create a Gignac/Keder web site. He didn't need to learn HTML, but he wanted to. And he was still playing with the site early this year.
Bill and his Vizsla, Calvin, excelled at agility and could always be found in the finals and top placers at any event, including various Nationals, even back in the days when big dogs had to jump 30". He repeated the success with his Border Collie, Bert.
We've missed having Nan and Bill around since his quest for an exciting business opportunity took them to Canada.

We just wanted to say that we will miss Bill very much.
We will never forget his friendly way and his fun attitude towards dog agility. We know he liked to compete, but he really valued his friends and joy of the camaraderie.
I'm sure Calvin is wagging his little nub, waiting for Bill.
You will always be in our hearts.
